Coal Tar 2.4% (as Coal Tar Solution 12% w/w), Salicylic Acid 2% w/w and Sulphur – precipitated 4% w/w.
Coco-Scalp also contains the following inactive ingredients: Coconut oil, white soft paraffin, glycerol, cetostearyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, polyoxyethylene glycerol monostearate, hard paraffin.
Coco-Scalp is for the treatment of dry scaly skin disorders of the scalp such as psoriasis, sebhorrhoeic dermatitis, dandruff and eczema. It is a khaki coloured ointment.
Coco-Scalp works by reducing the scaliness and irritation of the skin associated with dry scaly skin disorders. Coal tar and Sulphur reduces inflammation of the skin and salicylic acid helps remove scale.
Do not use Coco-Scalp if you are:
Coal tar may stain clothes and jewellery. Care should be taken to protect or remove these before application.
Avoid any contact with the eyes. If you accidentally get Coco-Scalp in your eyes, wash it out immediately with plenty of cold tap water. If irritation develops, consult a doctor or pharmacist. Do not apply to broken skin.
Yes, it can be used intermittently as an adjunctive treatment to be applied once a week.
Apply daily for three to seven days until improvement has been achieved. Intermittent repeated applications my be necessary to maintain improvement.
If, after the first week the condition does not improve consult your doctor.
If you forget to apply a dose, do so as soon as you remember and then go on as before.
This medicine is for you. Never give it to to others. It may harm them, even if their symptoms are the same as yours.

Immediately telephone your doctor or the National Poisons Information Centre (telephone 13 11 26 in Australia; 0800 POISON (0800 764 766) in New Zealand) for advice, or go to your nearest Accident and Emergency Centre, if you think you or anyone else has swallowed Coco-Scalp ointment.
Store below 25° C in a dry place, do not refrigerate.
Coco-Scalp is for external use only.
Keep your medicine out of the reach of children.
Do not keep/use Coco-Scalp ointment when no longer needed or after its expiry date.
Please discard the Coco-Scalp tube no later than four weeks after first opening.
